Day 228
June 19, 2020
Today I chose to stay closer to home. During my walk, I came across this gorgeous Lily of the Nile, or African Lily, as it is known in the UK. The name is a bit of a misnomer as these are not technically lilies but they are native to southern Africa. They have spread out to many parts of the world and have become somewhat native to various countries. We have them to spare here in Southern California, and it seems they are just as rampant in Australia. Learned that fact from watching a television show that is filmed just outside of Sydney. They are in just about every exterior shot of that show. Who said you can’t learn new things from scripted television?
