Day 311
September 10, 2020
Today’s air quality is much worse than it has been the last few days. The Santa Anas have died down so the smoke is just sitting and building as the little wind we do have is coming from the east, where the closer fires are burning. The smoke cover is also keeping the temperature down. Yes, it’s that thick. Apparently the amount of smoke is expected to affect air quality across much of the country as it moves out of the area. I don’t think that has ever happened before. Not sure how many more days of this we have coming. Oh yes, the sun is shining, you can see a tiny, slightly more orange, dot just off center to the right of the image above. This was taken at about 4:27 PM.
