Day 151
April 3, 2020
Ah, remember when we were allowed to hug? I miss hugs. I miss meeting with friends for meals, and coffee, and movies, and bike rides at the beach. Hell, I miss going to work and meeting new people every day. I miss chatting with friends on other shows in the hallways of our offices. I miss the ridiculous call times, the crews, the ever changing locations, and the pressure we put on ourselves to make that shot before we lose the light. But more than anything, I miss traveling. I miss being able to get on a plane to see my family who are spread out all over the place. I miss going to a country I’ve never been. I miss driving on the other side of the road. I miss visiting old historic places. I miss nearly running out of gas on the motorway and panicking to find a gas station in a place I’ve never been to before. I miss meeting other travelers like that couple in Stratford, visiting from Wisconsin. The mother and daughter duo in York having breakfast before going shopping for the day. The elderly ladies on that boat tour warning about solo travel because a woman had been found headless a few weeks ago. That didn’t freak me out in the least, nope, not at all. I miss the weirdos that are also lovely humans you meet randomly while living life. I really hope someday we can get back out there again and experience all of those things and so much more.
