Day 143

I have a list of projects a mile long. Planning to take advantage of this time to finally get to them. I set up a very ambitious schedule for myself today but I ended up taking a nap, which disrupted the entire plan. Then I set up a triage area of sorts on the porch to handle incoming packages, groceries, mail, etc. Part of me feels I may be taking things a bit too far. But on the other hand, one can’t be too careful it seems. And so this is why today’s photo is of this bird hanging out across the courtyard. Was so into my projects after the nap, the day got away from me. Usually I see these guys around, they’re everywhere, and hardly notice them. I love that there are various shades of brown in his fathers and that he isn’t just black, as I always thought. He’s actually quite pretty and sleek. I’m glad I took these few moments to notice this other living thing with which I share this world. It’s a nice break from the insanity of this time.
