Day 147

Spring has made these strange days so much better. Clearly the planet keeps doing what it does on its own schedule, and I am grateful for it. Everything is bursting with color everywhere I look, and it has truly lifted my spirits. Today I saw an article that said the air in Los Angeles is the cleanest it has been in decades. I am not surprised. At this point in the season my allergies are usually so much worse off. This year, though, I am aware that everything is blooming but it’s not uncomfortable. There are some very mild symptoms but I can breathe and I am happy about that. Really hope that after this is over, “normal life” includes figuring out a way to keep the air clean. In the long run that should help to keep more people from getting Covid-19 and other respiratory illnesses.
