Day 16

Today was a very rainy day and it has brought so much joy; because we always need rain and because it helps to keep the fires at bay. After the last few weeks when the air quality has been compromised, this is a welcome respite. Not to mention it is finally beginning to feel like fall in LA with cooler temperatures.

This Christmas Cactus was a gift from a friend, nearly ten years ago. It flowers every year, despite my best efforts to kill it. I have never had much of a green thumb but this guy continues to grow, to flower, and to remind me that I too can have green things. Thanks V!
