Today I took that dreaded trip to the grocery store, and while I was there I decided to get some flowers for my desk. I have never been a fan of buying flowers to put in a vase. They just die and, what a waste. But these days I feel I need something extra to lift my spirits, and flowers seem to be the thing. I literally stopped in my tracks at the grocery store as I walked past the floral department. So, I got these Freesias and had a full on photoshoot when I got home. It’s like two gifts in one.

Shot this on my Canon 35mm DSLR, the shutter was set at 1/80, the aperture at f/11, and the ISO at 400. This was just before sunset at about 6:20 PM near a west facing window.
