Day 206
May 28, 2020
This morning I attempted to play tennis with a friend. First time out post broken arm. Though, to be honest, It has been nearly two years since I last played. I’ve preparing for this with my physical therapist for the last couple of sessions. Had even forgotten the proper stance. Luckily, once we were out there the basics came back. But I am super rusty and I was never any good. Took a few lessons and that’s about it. But it’s so fun! So my friend and I swatted at the air a lot, chased may balls around the court, and had lots of silly giggling. We’re going back next week. We are talking about signing up for lessons again, just not sure we can do that together just yet. I am just relieved she’s as rusty as I am. It is really nice to be getting some semblance of a life back. And the tennis court is a really easy place to keep distant. For now we can only do one on one which is fine for us. Yay safe outdoor activities with friends!
And now for the feather friend types. This is Douglas park which was actually quite crowded, with both humans and ducks, this evening. There are so many spring ducklings but they are really had to shoot as they are constantly moving and I don’t want to upset mom. This here is one of the moms, she was trying to corral the little ones with some difficulty. Isn’t she just so pretty thought? Love that bit of blue feathers.
