Day 234

June 25, 2020

June 25, 2020 Santa Monica, CA – Santa Monica Pier

Today my friend and I decided to take a walk to the beach. Because the June Gloom had us socked in the last couple of days, I completely forgot to reapply sunscreen. The sun did come out and it meant business. Ended up with the dumbest sunburn, on my ankles. Now it looks like I am wearing weird, nude, ankle socks. Oh well…

We headed west on Montana and then walked south on the beach to the Pier. We were surprised to find it open and actually doing a very good job of keeping people apart. There were plenty of sanitation stations and they devised a route for everyone to enter and a separate one to exit. There were a few people milling about but nowhere near the crowds that were a staple of the pier; and the reason I only went there when it was a location for a shoot. This time I actually enjoyed the visit.
