Day 247

July 8, 2020

July, 8, 2020 Santa Monica, CA

Somedays I feel like this bit of fluff. Caught in a web. Stuck in this place. Can’t go anywhere. Can’t move. Life has come to a screeching halt. And though I know it isn’t entirely true, some days it is harder to keep it in mind. We can exercise, cook, bake, write, Netflix, read, Zoom, take pictures, and fill the hours with plenty of things to do; but ultimately, it’s all a temporary escape. In the end we are still stuck in the cobweb, waiting for something to change. And while so much is happening in the world at the same time, the overwhelming feeling gets to be too much and I, personally, retreat to the cobweb. Have I found a bit of peace in the being stuck? Maybe it is just a good place to hide and cry.
