Day 254

July 15, 2020

July 15, 2020 Santa Monica, CA

The neighborhood farming seems to be expanding these days. This guy is growing on the sidewalk. Or, more specifically, what is normally the grassy patch on the street side of the sidewalk. Hope no one steals it before whomever planted it gets to enjoy it. Regardless, the Victory Garden is making a real come back.

Also, I just went down massive squash rabbit hole. I have not really thought much about them, ever. Who knew there were so many varieties and how many different vegetables are actually squash? Zucchini is a type of squash. I had no idea but looking at it more closely it makes sense. Anyhow, I am now looking forward to fall and some pumpkin soup. Or better yet, pumpkin pie!
