Got myself a new potted flower, a black Calla Lily. Apparently black Calla Lilies symbolize mystery and elegance. I’ll keep that in mind in case I’m ever looking to convey such meaning in the future. My reason for purchasing it is purely aesthetic. I like the look of it and how much texture can be seen because of the color. Plus it seems to be sturdy, so maybe I can keep it around longer than a week. My gardening skills have improved a bit. Only because it’s been a cool summer here so far and I am home with time to check on the plants. The real test will come when summer decides to show up in Santa Monica and when I go back to work. Whenever that turns out to be.
