Day 293

The hottest days of summer have arrived so today was a beach day. Packed the camera, beach towel, umbrella, sunscreen, and a mask. At 88º it was hot enough to get in the water. Usually the water is not warm but today it was perfect even though the wind made for some rough surf. The crowds were not as big as I expected. We all managed to respect each other’s space. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, physically distanced, with friends. One might actually, for a second, forget the pandemic is still with us.
