Day 300
August 30, 2020
Today was Stand Up Paddle Boarding day. Hadn’t thought how that would be a physically distant activity to do with friends. However, falling in the ocean and camera equipment don’t play well together so no pictures. Instead I made a pit stop on the way home and took a walk down the California Incline. Formerly known as the Sunset Trail, it was cut into the bluffs to provide beach access to pedestrians in 1896. Eventually it was rebuilt to accommodate traffic and create a link from Ocean Avenue to PCH (not ‘The PCH”). It was rebuilt and brought up to earthquake code about five years ago. Bike lanes and walkways were added and it’s a nice stroll with gorgeous views. That is Palisades Park above the bluffs.
