Day 53
December 27, 2019
On my second visit, of this trip, to the Art Institute of Chicago, I decided to focus on the Modern Wing. Hadn’t spent much time there and I am so glad I did. Here we are, just before closing facing northeast from gallery number 395. On the right is “Horse” by Raymond Duchamp-Villon. Reflected from the far left to right are “Bottle Rack” by Marcel Duchamp, “Golden Bird”, “Leda”, and “White Negress II” by Constantin Brancusi. Notable buildings outside we have The Heritage at Millennium Park, what used to be called the Stone Container Building (remember Adventures in Babysitting?), One Prudential Plaza, Two Prudential Plaza, and a slice of the Aon Center. I absolutely love this city, and it just gets more beautiful every time I come back. But I may be biased…
