A typical “South Side” street in Chicago. Specifically Archer Avenue in Bridgeport. Archer is a major artery that cuts thorough the city from China Town, near Downtown, to Lockport, IL where it is called State Street. One of Archer Avenue’s claims to fame is that it is the road between Willowbrook Ballroom and Resurrection Cemetery, where unsuspecting drivers have picked up Resurrection Mary, the hitchhiking ghost of a young woman who was killed along the route on her way home in the late 1930’s.
